  1. In a karahi, roast puffed rice on medium flame for 3-4 minutes, transfer puffed rice to a different vessel.
  2. In the same karahi heat ghee, add in the jaggery and cook until completely melted, stirring constantly.
  3. Lower the flame add puffed rice and mix well, switch the flame off. Form equal sized balls and allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.

In south India, we call it maramaralu laddoo or undalu. It is also known as Murir laru in Assam and is eaten on Magh Bihu or Makar Sankranti. Murmura Laddu-Puffed Rice Laddu-Lai ke laddu. Grease your palm with water, take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into small ball. Make sure that laddoos are made before the mixture cools down.
