Instructions to make Snickerdoodles:
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F for a conventional oven.
  2. Cream together butter, shortening & sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice. Sift together dry ingredients, and add to wet batter. Should clean sides of bowls but not be dry.
  3. Make the sugar/cinnamon mixture.Shape dough into 1in balls and roll into sugar/cinnamon. Place 2in apart on un-greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake @ 400°F for 8-10 minutes. Remove from baking sheets immediately to cooling racks. Let sit 5 minutes, then enjoy!
