  4. Mix well, add half cup pasta water and keep mixing on a high heat for about a minute. Shut off the heat and add Parmesan cheese and extra olive oil. Mix well and serve.

Note: You can use canned fava beans if fresh are not in season. If you do use from a can, then you can add garlic, beans, and tomatoes in at the same time. Add pasta to the sauce and combine well.
